Do I need a GP referral?

Only if it is a stipulation of your private healthcare insurance scheme.
Self-funding patients do not require a GP referral.

How soon can I get an appointment and how much it cots?

We try to book you in within 24 hours but it also depends on our day to day capacity. Please contact our reception team for our current charges.

What do I expect at first visit and how long it will take?

Your first appointment may last 30 to 40 minutes depends on your problem/injury, Your first appointment will consist of a subject examination where you will be asked questions regarding your current musculoskeletal/neurological problem, general health and medical history.
The findings of physical examination will be explained and appropriate treatment options will be discussed.

What shall I wear and will I need to undress?

This will depend on your symptoms. However, you will need to be aware that the physiotherapist may require you to undress to your underwear.
If you are uncomfortable with this, please bring along shorts and a vest type top.

What should I bring with me on my initial appointment?

A Referral letter from your GP or consultant if you have one
Your full insurance details if you wish us to claim our fees directly from your private health insurers and you have notified them of your claim.
Insurance claim form if you require the physiotherapist to fill it in, (many insurers require your GP or referring doctor to fill in this form so check with your insurers)
Any x-rays or scan results that you may have relating to your injury or condition.
Appropriate clothing. Ideally wear loose, comfortable clothing. For neck and upper back problems your physiotherapist may ask you to remove your top. For lower back and hip complaints, you may be asked to remove your trousers.

Can I bring someone with me?

You are very welcome to bring someone with you to your appointment and they can sit in on the consultation and treatment with you if you wish.

I have Private Health Insurance, what do I need to do?

Telephone your provider first. You will be informed whether or not you need to see your GP.
We are recognized by and work along with many major health insurance companies, most health insurance policies do cover, or part-cover, physiotherapy fees. Please check with your insurance company.
Provide us with all your private health insurance details on or before your first attendance.

How much notice do I need to give to rearrange or cancel an appointment?

There will be a charge of 50% unless a minimum of 24hrs notice is given. Non-attendance will be charged at 100% of the fee.
